A Little (Toothless) Smile

I haven’t done much with portraits since purchasing my camera. I think the main reason I’ve been avoiding them is that doing good portraits is hard! Recently I was inspired to learn how to take better people shots so expect more faces on this photoblog in the future.

I have 3 little models available 24/7 so I’ll have plenty of opportunity to shoot.

My son doesn’t like to have his picture taken so I’m not sure how I got this one or why he cooperated, but I like the way it turned out.

Quench Your Thirst

Look Into My Eyes

My wife and I recently took our kids to the San Diego Natural History Museum. I’ve lived in San Diego for 15 years, but it was my first visit to the museum. Each floor featured great exhibits like a collection of beautiful autumn-themed photographs and a selection of fossils found in the San Diego region. This skeleton was not found in San Diego, of course, but it certainly made for a more photogenic subject than most of the fossils.
